Theory of Sets, chapter III, § 1. Order relations. Ordered sets

Let S\mathfrak{S} be a non-empty subset of the set P(E)\mathfrak{P}(E) of subsets of a set E. If S\mathfrak{S} has a least (resp. greatest) element A with respect to the inclusion relation, then A is the intersection (resp. union) of the sets of S\mathfrak{S}. Conversely, if the intersection (resp. union) of the sets of S\mathfrak{S} belongs to S\mathfrak{S}, then it is the least (resp. greatest) element of S\mathfrak{S}.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
