Commutative Algebra, chapter II, § 5. Finitely generated projective modules. Invertible fractional ideals

Let P be a finitely generated projective A-module. For every prime ideal pp of A, the rank of the free ApA_p-module PpP_p is called the rank of P at pp and is denoted by rg⁡p(P)\operatorname{rg}_p(P).

By Theorem 1 the integer-valued function p↦rgp(P)p \mapsto \mathrm{rg}_p(P) is locally constant on X=Spec(A)X = \mathrm{Spec}(A); it is therefore constant if XX is connected and in particular if the ring AA is an integral domain (§ 4, no. 3, Corollary 2 to Proposition 15).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
