Commutative Algebra, chapter II, § 5. Finitely generated projective modules. Invertible fractional ideals

If MM and NN are two non-degenerate sub-A-modules of BB, the A-modules M+N,M.NM + N, M.N and M∩NM \cap N are non-degenerate.

The assertion is trivial for M+NM + N; on the other hand if s∈S∩Ms \in S \cap M and t∈S∩Nt \in S \cap N, then st∈S∩(M.N)st \in S \cap (M.N) and st∈S∩(M∩N)st \in S \cap (M \cap N).

Given two sub-A-modules MM and NN of BB, let us denote by N:MN : M the sub-A-module of BB consisting of those b∈Bb \in B such that bM⊂NbM \subset N (Chapter I, §2§ 2, no. 10, Remark). If every b∈N:Mb \in N : M is mapped to the homomorphism hb:x↦bxh_b : x \mapsto bx of MM to NN, a canonical homomorphism b↦hbb \mapsto h_b is obtained from N:MN : M to Hom⁡A(M,N)\operatorname{Hom}_A(M, N).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
