Algebra, III, 651

Let E be an n-dimensional vector space, z a pure p-vector over E, V the vector subspace of E associated with z, u∗u^* a pure q-vector over E∗E^*, W' the subspace of E∗E^* associated with u∗u^* and W the subspace of E, of dimension n−qn - q, orthogonal to W'. If q<pq < p, u∗⌟zu^* \lrcorner z is a pure (p−q)(p - q)-vector over E, which is zero if dim⁡(V∩W)>p−q\dim(V \cap W) > p - q; if dim⁡(V∩W)=p−q\dim(V \cap W) = p - q, V∩WV \cap W is associated with u∗⌟zu^* \lrcorner z.
