Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VII, § 2. Cartan subalgebras and regular elements of a Lie algebra

Let g\mathfrak{g} be a Lie algebra, let k0k_0 be a subfield of kk such that [k:k0]<+∞[k:k_0]<+\infty, and let g0\mathfrak{g}_0 be the Lie algebra obtained from g\mathfrak{g} by restricting the field of scalars to k0k_0. Let h\mathfrak{h} be a subset of g\mathfrak{g}. Then h\mathfrak{h} is a Cartan subalgebra of g\mathfrak{g} if and only if h\mathfrak{h} is a Cartan subalgebra of g0\mathfrak{g}_0.

This follows from Cor. 5, since the condition h=g0(h)\mathfrak{h}=\mathfrak{g}^0(\mathfrak{h}) does not involve the base field.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
