Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VIII, § 7. Finite dimensional modules over a split semi-simple Lie algebra

Let E be a finite dimensional g\mathfrak{g}-module, and consider the g\mathfrak{g}-module E∗=E^*= Homk(E,k)_k(E, k).

(i) An element λ∈P\lambda \in P is a weight of E∗E^* if and only if −λ-\lambda is a weight of E, and the multiplicity of λ\lambda in E∗E^* is equal to that of −λ-\lambda in E.

(ii) If E is simple and has highest weight ω,E∗\omega ,E^* is simple and has highest weight −w0(ω)-w_0(\omega ) (cf. no. 2, Remark 2).

Consider kk as a trivial g\mathfrak{g}-module whose elements are of weight 0. By what was said above, the elements of E∗E^* of weight λ\lambda are the homomorphisms from E to kk which vanish on EμE^\mu if μ≠−λ\mu\not=-\lambda. This proves (i). If E is simple, E∗E^* is simple (Chap. I, §3, no. 3), and the last assertion follows from Remark 2 of no. 2.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
