Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter IX, § 6. Integration on compact Lie groups

Let φ\varphi be a central function on G (that is, such that φ(gh)=\varphi (gh) = φ(hg)\varphi (hg) for all gg and hh in G) with values in a Banach space or in R‾\overline{\mathbf{R}}.

a)φ)\varphi is measurable if and only if its restriction to T is measurable.

b)φ)\varphi is integrable if and only if the function (φ∣T)δG(\varphi |T)\delta_G is integrable on T, and in that case we have

∫Gφ(g)dg=1w(G)∫Tφ(t)δG(t)dt(6) \int_G\varphi (g)dg=\frac{1}{w(G)}\int_T\varphi (t)\delta_G(t)dt \tag{6}

Denote by p:G/T×T→Tp: G/T\times T\rightarrow T the second projection. We have φ∘f\varphi \circ f = (φ∣T)∘p(\varphi |T)\circ p; further, the image under pp of the measure μ⊗1w(G)δGdt\mu\otimes \frac{1}{w(G)}\delta_Gdt is 1w(G)δGdt\frac{1}{w(G)}\delta_Gdt. The corollary now follows from Th. 1 above and Th. 1 of Integration, Chap. V, §6, no. 2, applied to the two proper maps ff and pp.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
