Topologie algébrique, chapter III, § 1. Homotopies, homéotopies

Let V be a subset of B. One has αf−1(βf(V))=f(V∩A)\alpha^{-1}_f(\beta_f(V)) =f(V\cap A) and

βf−1(βf(V))=V∪f−1(f(V∩A))\beta^{-1}_f(\beta_f(V)) = V\cup \overset{-1}{f}(f(V\cap A)). If A is closed in B and if the mapping ff is closed, the mapping βf\beta_f is therefore closed. Analogously, if A is open in B and if the mapping ff is open, the mapping βf\beta_f is open.

In these two cases, the mapping βf\beta_f then induces a homeomorphism of B-A onto its image.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
