Topologie algébrique, chapter IV, § 4. Théorie de la descente

Let X and Y be topological spaces and let ff be a continuous mapping of X into Y. Suppose that the space X is simply connected, that the space X×YXX\times_YX is locally arcwise connected, and that every descent datum relative to ff on a covering of X is effective and the quotient space is a covering of Y. Then the groupoid morphism ϖ′(f)\varpi '(f) of Coeg(ff) into ϖ(Y)\varpi (Y) is injective.

Under the hypotheses of the proposition, ff is strict ( IV, p. 394, remark); moreover, one may suppose that it is surjective.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
