Theory of Sets, chapter II, § 3. Correspondences

Let A be a set. The mapping x→(x,x)x \to (x, x) of A into the diagonal ΔA\Delta_\mathbf{A} of A×A\mathrm{A} \times \mathrm{A} is a bijective mapping, called the diagonal mapping of A.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
