Commutative Algebra, chapter II, § 4. Spectra of rings and supports of modules

Let E be an ordered set every non-empty subset of which admits a minimal element. Let F be a subset of E with the following property : if a∈Ea \in E is such that the relation x<ax < a implies x∈Fx \in F, then a∈Fa \in F. Then F=EF = E.

Suppose F≠EF \neq E; then CFCF would have a minimal element bb. By definition, x∈Fx \in F for all x<bx < b, which implies that b∈Fb \in F, which is a contradiction.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
