Commutative Algebra, chapter II, § 5. Finitely generated projective modules. Invertible fractional ideals

Let M,NM, N be two sub-A-modules of BB. If MM is non-degenerate, the canonical homomorphism from N:MN : M to Hom⁡A(M,N)\operatorname{Hom}_A(M, N) is bijective.

Let s∈S∩Ms \in S \cap M. If b∈N:Mb \in N : M is such that bx=0bx = 0 for all x∈Mx \in M, then bs=0bs = 0, whence b=0b = 0 since ss is not a divisor of 0 in BB. On the other hand, let f∈HomA(M,N)f \in \mathrm{Hom}_A(M, N) and set b=f(s)/sb = f(s)/s; for all x∈Mx \in M, there exists t∈St \in S such that tx∈Atx \in A. Then

f(x)=s−1t−1f(stx)=s−1t−1txf(s)=bx, f(x) = s^{-1}t^{-1}f(stx) = s^{-1}t^{-1}txf(s) = bx,
whence b∈N:Mb \in N : M and f=hbf = h_b, which proves the proposition.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
