Commutative Algebra, chapter V, § 1. Notion of an integral element

Let AA be a ring, RR an A-algebra (not necessarily commutative) and EE a set &\& elements &R\& R which are pairwise permutable and integral over AA. Then the sub-A-algebra B&RB \& R generated by EE is integral over AA.

Every element of BB belongs to a sub-A-algebra of BB generated by a finite subset of EE.

Remark (3) It follows from Proposition 4 that every commutative A-algebra integral over AA is the union of a right directed family of finite subalgebras over AA.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
