Commutative Algebra, chapter V, § 1. Notion of an integral element

Let AA be a ring, R\mathbf{R} an AA-algebra and A′A' the integral closure of AA in R\mathbf{R}. Then the integral closure of A[X1,…,Xn]A[X_1, \ldots, X_n] in R[X1,…,Xn]\mathbf{R}[X_1, \ldots, X_n] is equal to A′[X1,…,Xn]A'[X_1, \ldots, X_n].

This follows from Proposition 12 and Definition 3 of no. 2.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
