Algebra, chapter III, § 4. Tensor products of algebras

Let E be a graded algebra of type Z\mathbf{Z} and S a set of homogeneous elements ≠0\neq 0; the set F of elements of E all of whose homogeneous components x≠0x \neq 0 satisfy relation (36) for all y∈Sy \in S is a graded subalgebra of E.

It suffices to note that: (1) if x′,x′′x', x'' are two homogeneous elements of the same degree pp, yy a homogeneous element of degree qq and x′y=(−1)pqyx′x'y = (-1)^{pq}yx', x′′y=(−1)pqyx′′x''y = (-1)^{pq}yx'', then also (x′+x′′)y=(−1)pqy(x′+x′′)(x' + x'')y = (-1)^{pq}y(x' + x''); (2) if x′,x′′x', x'' are two homogeneous elements of respective degrees p′,p′′p', p'', yy a homogeneous element of degree qq and x′y=(−1)p′qyx′x'y = (-1)^{p'q}yx', x′′y=(−1)p′′qyx′′x''y = (-1)^{p''q}yx'', then

(x′x′′)y=(−1)(p′+p′′)qy(x′x′′). (x'x'')y = (-1)^{(p'+p'')q}y(x'x'').

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
