Algebra, chapter VII, § 5. Endomorphisms of vector spaces

— Suppose the conditions of Prop. 16 are satisfied and let LL be an extension of KK. By Prop. 13 the set F(L)\mathfrak{F}_{(L)} is diagonalisable if and only if the algebra L⊗KAL \otimes_K A is diagonalisable. It follows from V, p. 30, Prop. 2 that there exists a finite extension LL of KK such that F(L)\mathfrak{F}_{(L)} is diagonalisable. In fact LL may be taken to be Galois; indeed, taking a finite subset F′\mathfrak{F}' of F\mathfrak{F} which generates AA, we may take LL to be a splitting field for the minimal polynomials of the elements of F′\mathfrak{F}' (Prop. 12 and 13).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
