Topological Vector Spaces, II, p. 36, § 5. Separation of convex sets
— 1) The hyperplane does not meet (II, p. 15, prop. 1; if and are two convex non-empty open sets that do not meet then there exists a closed hyperplane that separates strictly from . 2) However, when is not open, it is not necessarily the case that there exists a closed hyperplane that separates strictly from , even if is of finite dimension, and even if does not meet (II, p. 78, exerc. 12).
Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
