Topological Vector Spaces, chapter II, § 5. Separation of convex sets

— If a cone AA, with vertex 00, is contained in an open half-space determined by a hyperplane HH, then it is contained in a closed half-space determined by a hyperplane H0H_0, that is parallel to HH and passes through 00.

Let f(z)=αf(z) = \alpha with α<0\alpha < 0 be an equation of HH, so that f(z)=0f(z) = 0 is the equation of H0H_0. If there exists z∈Az \in A such that f(z)<0f(z) < 0, then there would exist λ>0\lambda > 0, such that f(λz)=αf(\lambda z) = \alpha, and as λz∈A\lambda z \in A, this would contradict the hypothesis.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
