Integration, chapter IV, § 1. Upper integral of a positive function

Let (fn)(f_n) be a sequence of numerical functions ⩾0\geqslant 0 such that, for every x∈Xx \in X, lim⁡n→∞fn(x)=+∞\lim_{n \to \infty} f_n(x) = +\infty. If μ\mu is not the zero measure, then lim⁡n→∞μ∗(fn)=+∞\lim_{n \to \infty} \mu^*(f_n) = +\infty.

If f0f_0 is the constant function equal to +∞+\infty, then f0f_0 is the upper envelope of all the functions of K+\mathscr{K}_+, and, since μ≠0\mu \neq 0, we have μ∗(f0)>0\mu^*(f_0) > 0; but since f0=αf0f_0 = \alpha f_0 for every α>0\alpha > 0, necessarily μ∗(f0)=+∞\mu^*(f_0) = +\infty (Prop. 11). The inequality (13) then shows that μ∗(fn)\mu^*(f_n) tends to +∞+\infty with nn.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
