Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter V, § 4. The geometric representation of a Coxeter group

There exists a unique homomorphism

σ:W→GL(E)\sigma : W \to \mathbf{GL}(E)

such that σ(gs)=σs\sigma(g_s) = \sigma_s for all s∈Ss \in S. The elements of σ(W)\sigma(W) preserve the bilinear form BMB_M.

To prove the existence and uniqueness of σ\sigma, it is enough to show that (σsσs′)m(s,s′)=1(\sigma_s \sigma_{s'})^{m(s, s')} = 1 if m(s,s′)≠+∞m(s, s') \neq +\infty. Now, if s=s′s = s', this follows from the fact that σs\sigma_s is of order 2; if s≠s′s \neq s', it follows from what we proved in no. 2. Finally, since the reflections σs\sigma_s preserve BMB_M, so do the elements of σ(W)\sigma(W).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
