General Topology, chapter IX, § 6. Polish spaces, Souslin spaces, Borel sets
A topological space is said to be a Souslin space if it is metrizable and if there exists a Polish space and a continuous mapping of onto . A subset of a topological space is called a Souslin set if the subspace is a Souslin space.
Clearly every Polish space is Souslin, and the image of a Souslin space under a continuous mapping of into a metrizable space is a Souslin space.
Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
