Commutative Algebra, chapter X, § 5. Intersections complètes

Let AA be a noetherian ring and JJ a completely secant ideal of AA. If AA is a Macaulay ring (resp. a Gorenstein ring), the same is true of A/JA/J.

Let in fact mm be a maximal ideal of AA containing JJ. The ideal JmJ_m of AmA_m is generated by an AmA_m-regular sequence; hence (A/J)m(A/J)_m is a Macaulay ring (resp. a Gorenstein ring) by Example 6 of § 2, No. 5 (resp. Example 2 of § 3, No. 9).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
