Commutative Algebra, chapter X, § 6. Extension des scalaires dans les algèbres régulières

Let kk be a field, KK an extension of kk and AA a kk-algebra essentially of finite type. For A(K)A_{(K)} to be a Macaulay ring (resp. a Gorenstein ring), it is necessary and sufficient that the same be true of AA.

If AA is a Macaulay ring (resp. a Gorenstein ring), the same is true of A(K)A_{(K)} by Prop. 4. Since A(K)A_{(K)} is a faithfully flat AA-module, the converse follows from Prop. 10 of § 2, No. 7 (resp. Cor. 1 of Prop. 12 of § 3, No. 8).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
