Commutative Algebra, chapter X, § 6. Extension des scalaires dans les algèbres régulières

Let kk be a noetherian ring, AA and BB kk-algebras. Suppose that AA is flat and essentially of finite type over kk. If AA and BB are Macaulay rings (resp. Gorenstein rings), then A⊗kBA \otimes_k B is a Macaulay ring (resp. a Gorenstein ring).

Suppose first that BB is a field; let φ\varphi denote the canonical homomorphism from kk into BB, and rr its kernel. The homomorphism φ\varphi induces a homomorphism from the field of fractions κ(r)\kappa(r) of k/rk/r into BB. Then A⊗kBA \otimes_k B is identified with (A⊗kκ(r))⊗κ(r)B(A \otimes_k \kappa(r)) \otimes_{\kappa(r)} B; since φ−1(0)=r\varphi^{-1}(0) = r, the ring A⊗kκ(r)A \otimes_k \kappa(r) is a Macaulay ring (resp. a Gorenstein ring) by Prop. 10 of § 2, No. 7 (resp. Cor. 1 of Prop. 12 of § 3, No. 8). The assertion then follows in this case from Cor. 1.

Let us pass to the general case. The BB-algebra A⊗kBA \otimes_k B is flat, and noetherian by the corollary to Prop. 2 of No. 1. For each prime ideal qq of BB, the ring (A⊗kB)⊗Bκ(q)(A \otimes_k B) \otimes_B \kappa(q), which is identified with A⊗kκ(q)A \otimes_k \kappa(q), is a Macaulay ring (resp. a Gorenstein ring) by what precedes. We conclude by applying Prop. 10 of § 2, No. 7 (resp. Cor. 1 of Prop. 12 of § 3, No. 8).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
