Commutative Algebra, chapter X, § 6. Extension des scalaires dans les algèbres régulières

Let AA be a regular local kk-algebra. If the extension κA\kappa_A of kk is separable, the algebra AA is absolutely regular. Let indeed k′k' be a finite-degree extension of kk. The AA-module A(k′)A_{(k')} is free. Since it is of finite type, every maximal ideal of A(k′)A_{(k')} lies over mA\mathfrak{m}_A (V, § 2, No. 1, prop. 1). The ring κA⊗AA(k′)\kappa_A \otimes_A A_{(k')}, isomorphic to κA⊗kk′\kappa_A \otimes_k k', is regular (No. 3, lemma 2). By the corollary to prop. 9 of § 4, No. 5, the ring A(k′)A_{(k')} is regular, which proves that the kk-algebra AA is absolutely regular.

1^1 Some authors use the terminology “geometrically regular” (resp. “geometrically normal”.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
