Commutative Algebra, chapter X, § 7. Algèbres lisses

Let AA be a formally smooth linearly topologized kk-algebra. Every continuous homomorphism of kk-algebras φ:A→C/Cm\varphi : A \to C/C_m admits a continuous lifting to CC.

For every integer n>mn > m, let us denote by πn:C/Cn→C/Cn−1\pi_n : C/C_n \to C/C_{n-1} the canonical surjection. Since CC is identified with the projective limit of the C/CnC/C_n, to give a continuous lifting of φ\varphi to CC amounts to the same as giving a family (φn)n>m(\varphi_n)_{n > m} of continuous homomorphisms of kk-algebras φn:A→C/Cn\varphi_n : A \to C/C_n, satisfying πn∘φn=φn−1\pi_n \circ \varphi_n = \varphi_{n-1}. This reduces us, by induction on mm, to proving the statement when Cm+1=0C_{m+1} = 0. The ideal CmC_m is then square zero (for 2m≥m+12m \geq m+1), whence the proposition since AA is formally smooth.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
