Commutative Algebra, chapter X, § 7. Algèbres lisses

Let kk be a field of characteristic p≠0p \neq 0, k′k' a purely inseparable extension of kk, of finite degree and of height ⩽1\leqslant 1, and AA a regular local kk-algebra. Then A(k′)A_{(k')} is a local ring and the following conditions are equivalent:

(i) the ring A(k′)A_{(k')} is regular; (ii) the κA\kappa_A-linear mapping

κA⊗k′pΩk′p(k′p)⟶κA⊗AΩ(A) \kappa_A \otimes_{{k'}^p} \Omega_{{k'}^p}({k'}^p) \longrightarrow \kappa_A \otimes_A \Omega(A)

deduced from the canonical injection k′p→A{k'}^p \to A is injective.

Let indeed (xi)i∈I(x_i)_{i \in I} be a finite pp-base of k′k' over kk (A, V, p. 98); for each i∈Ii \in I, put fi=xip∈kf_i = x_i^p \in k. The kk-algebra k′k' is identified with the quotient of k[(Ti)i∈I]k[(T_i)_{i \in I}] by the ideal generated by the polynomials Tip−fiT_i^p - f_i, hence the AA-algebra A(k′)A_{(k')} with the quotient of A[(Ti)i∈I]A[(T_i)_{i \in I}] by the ideal generated by the polynomials Tip−fi1AT_i^p - f_i 1_A.

Moreover, (fi)i∈I(f_i)_{i \in I} is a pp-base of k′p{k'}^p over kpk^p, and the k′p{k'}^p-vector space Ωkp(k′p)\Omega_{k^p}({k'}^p) has as basis the family of the dfidf_i (A, V, p. 97, th. 1). Proposition 6 then follows from lemma 2.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
