Algebra, chapter IX, § 1. Formes sesquilinéaires

Let AA and BB be two rings, J1J_1 an antiautomorphism of AA, MM an AA-module to the right, NN a BB-module to the right and G a (A, B)-bimodule. One says that a mapping Φ\Phi from M×NM \times N into G is left sesquilinear for J1J_1 if it is Z\mathbf{Z}-bilinear and if it satisfies

Φ(xa,yb)=aJ1Φ(x,y)b(x∈M,y∈N,a∈A,b∈B). \Phi(xa, yb) = a^{J_1} \Phi(x, y)b \quad (x \in M, y \in N, a \in A, b \in B).

Such a mapping is identified with a bilinear mapping from MJ1×NM^{J_1} \times N into G. We shall often leave to the reader the task of transposing to left sesquilinear mappings the definitions and properties given for right sesquilinear mappings; when we speak of a sesquilinear mapping (without further specification), it will be a right sesquilinear mapping.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
