Algebra, chapter IX, § 1. Formes sesquilinéaires

The hypotheses and notations being those of def. 7, the linear mappings sΦs_\Phi and dΦd_\Phi associated with Φ\Phi have the same rank, and this rank is equal to the rank of the form Φ\Phi.

Indeed the kernel of the mapping dΦd_\Phi from F into E∗E^* is obviously E0E^0, hence its rank is equal to the dimension of F/E0F/E^0. Analogously the rank of sΦs_\Phi is equal to the dimension of E/F0E/F^0.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
