Algebra, chapter IX, § 10. Angles

It is easily verified that, for x,yx, y in EE and u∈Λ(Φ)u \in \Lambda(\Phi), one has Φ(u(x),y)=Φ(x,u‾(y))\Phi(u(x), y) = \Phi(x, \overline{u}(y)). Thus the adjoint endomorphism of a direct similitude uu is the direct similitude u‾\overline{u} conjugate of uu in Λ(Φ)\Lambda(\Phi).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
