Algebra, chapter X, § 1. Compléments d’algèbre linéaire

Suppose that A=K[X,Y]A = K[X, Y], where KK is a field. Then the maximal ideal mm generated by XX and YY is a torsion-free AA-module, but not flat. Consider indeed the ring B=A/(Y)B = A/(Y), which is isomorphic to K[X]K[X], hence integral. The BB-module m(B)m_{(B)} is isomorphic to m/Ym=(X,Y)/(XY,Y2)m/Ym = (X, Y)/(XY, Y^2) in which the class of YY is torsion. Consequently, m(B)m_{(B)} is not a flat BB-module, hence mm is not flat.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
