Algebra, chapter X, § 1. Compléments d’algèbre linéaire

\* Let S and X be two complex analytic spaces and let f:X→Sf : X \to S be a morphism. We say that ff is flat at a point xx of X if OX,x\mathscr{O}_{X,x}, considered as OS,f(x)\mathscr{O}_{S,f(x)}-module by means of the homomorphism f∗:OS,f(x)→OX,xf^* : \mathscr{O}_{S,f(x)} \to \mathscr{O}_{X,x}, is flat. The set of points of X where ff is flat is an open set of X, and the restriction of ff to this open set is an open mapping. If X and S are connected analytic varieties of finite dimension, ff is flat (at every point of X) if and only if f(X)f(X) is open in S and the fibres f−1(s)f^{-1}(s), for s∈f(X)s \in f(X), all have the same dimension. \*

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
