Algebra, chapter X, § 2. Complexes de A-modules

Let f:M→Nf:M\to N be a homomorphism of A-modules and CC the complex such that C1=MC_1=M, C0=NC_0=N, Ci=0C_i=0 for i≠0,1i\ne0,1, d1=fd_1=f, di=0d_i=0 for i≠1i\ne1. Then CC is split if and only if Ker⁡f\operatorname{Ker}f is a direct factor in MM and Im⁡f\operatorname{Im}f a direct factor in NN.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
