Algebra, X, p. 187
Let M be an a-module, n an integer ⩾1. Now prove that the following conditions are equivalent:
α) M admits a finite n-presentation (X, p. 180, exercise 6).
β) For every filtered inductive system (Nα)α∈I, the canonical homomorphism
limExtAi(M,Nα)→ExtAi(M,limNα) is bijective for
i<n.
γ) For every family (Pβ)β∈J of right A-modules, the canonical homomorphism
ToriAβ∈J∏Pβ,M→β∈J∏ToriA(Pβ,M) is bijective for
i<n.
δ) For every set I, the canonical homomorphism Ad!⊗AM→M! is bijective, and one has
ToriA(Ad!,M)=0for 0<i<n. (Reason by induction on
n, using exercise 18, p. 170.)
