Algebra, X, p. 201
Let B be a k-bigebra (III, p. 148), which is considered as an augmented k-algebra (X, p. 196, exercise 27) by the counit β:B→k; suppose that the k-module B is projective.
(a) Let M, N be two left B-modules. The homomorphism ∨ of exercise 7 identifies with a graded homomorphism of degree zero
H′(B,γ;M)⊗kH′(B,γ;N)→H′(B⊗kB,γ⊗γ;M⊗kN);
by composition with the homomorphism deduced from the comultiplication, deduce a graded homomorphism of degree zero ∪:H′(B,γ;M)⊗kH′(B,γ;N)→H′(B,γ;M⊗kN).
(b) Let C be an associative and unital k-algebra, which is provided with the structure of B-module deduced from γ. Prove that the homomorphism ∪ defines on H′(B,γ;C) a structure of associative and unital graded k-algebra; if C is commutative and if the bigebra B is cocommutative, the algebra H′(B,γ;C) is anticommutative.
(c) Take C=k. Prove that the product ∪ coincides with the composition product on ExtB(k,k).
(d) Let G be a group, M and N two Z(G)-modules. We provide M⊗ZN with the structure of Z(G)-module defined by g(x⊗y)=gx⊗gy for g∈G,x∈M,y∈N. Prove that the mapping
∪:H′(G,M)⊗ZH′(G,N)→H′(G,M⊗ZN)
is the homomorphism induced on homology by the graded homomorphism of degree zero
u:C′(G,M)⊗ZC′(G,N)→C′(G,M⊗ZN)
defined by u(f⊗h)(g1,...,gp+q)=f(g1,...,gp)⊗g1,...,gph(gp+1,...,gp+q) for
f∈Cp(G,M),h∈Cq(G,N),g1...gp+q∈G.
