Let pp be a prime number and AA the subring of Q\mathbf{Q} consisting of the fractions k/pnk/p^n, where k∈Z,n≥0k \in \mathbf{Z}, n \geq 0. Show that AA is a flat Z\mathbf{Z}-module and that there exists a Z\mathbf{Z}-module EE which is not flat but where A⊗ZEA \otimes_{\mathbf{Z}} E is a flat AA-module.
