Commutative Algebra, II, 147

Let AA be a ring and PP a finitely generated projective AA-module. Show that AA is isomorphic to a finite product of rings ∏i∈IA\prod_{i \in I} A, and PP is isomorphic to a product ∏i∈IPi\prod_{i \in I} P_i, where PiP_i is a projective AiA_i-module of rank nin_i, the nin_i being distinct (use Theorem 1 and the fact that Spec(A)\mathrm{Spec}(A) is quasi-compact).
