Commutative Algebra, II, 147

Let AA be a reduced ring and MM a finitely generated AA-module. Suppose that there exists an integer n>0n > 0 such that, for every homomorphism ϕ\phi of AA to a field KK, [M⊗AK;Kϕ]=n[M \otimes_A K; K_\phi] = n. Show that MM is a projective module of rank nn. (Reduce it to the case where AA is a local ring and use § 2, no. 2, Proposition 7.)
