Commutative Algebra, III, 259
Let be a commutative ring and an ideal of . An -module is called absolutely Hausdorff with respect to if, for every finitely generated -module , the -module is Hausdorff with the -adic topology; an absolutely Hausdorff -module is ideally Hausdorff.
(a) For to be absolutely Hausdorff with respect to , it is necessary and sufficient that, for every finitely generated -module and every submodule of , be closed in with the -adic topology.
(b) Let be a commutative -algebra and an ideal of containing . If is an absolutely Hausdorff -module with respect to , is an absolutely Hausdorff -module with respect to .
