Exercise 2, § 2

Commutative Algebra, VII, 556

(a) Let a,ba, b be two integral ideals of a Dedekind domain AA; show that there exists an integral ideal cc which is prime to bb and such that acac is principal (use Proposition 9 of § 1, no. 5).

(b) Let a,ba, b be two integral ideals of AA; show that there exists x≠0x \neq 0 in the field of fractions of AA such that xaxa is an integral ideal of AA which is prime to bb (same method). Deduce that the module a/aba/ab is isomorphic to A/bA/b.
