Let AA be an integrally closed Noetherian domain, EE a finitely generated torsion-free AA-module and E∗E^* its dual. (a) Show that the canonical homomorphism E∗⊗AE→End⁡A(E)E^* \otimes_A E \to \operatorname{End}_A(E) is a pseudo-isomorphism. (b) Deduce from (a) that for EE to be a projective AA-module, it is necessary and sufficient that E∗⊗AEE^* \otimes_A E be a reflexive AA-module. (Note that, if E∗⊗AEE^* \otimes_A E is reflexive, the canonical homomorphism E∗⊗AE→End⁡A(E)E^* \otimes_A E \to \operatorname{End}_A(E) is bijective.)
