Let EE and FF be two modules over a commutative ring kk and let pp be an integer ≥0\geq 0.

a) Show that if p≤2p \leq 2, the mapping λp\lambda_p of Hom(Γp(E),F)\mathrm{Hom}(\Gamma_p(E), F) into FEF^E which associates with σ\sigma the mapping σ∘γp\sigma \circ \gamma_p is an injective mapping. b) Show that AA, has as image Homk(E,F)\mathrm{Hom}_k(E, F). Show that AA, has as image the set of all mappings gg of EE into FF such that : (i) g(ax)=a2g(x)g(ax) = a^2g(x) for any a∈ka \in k and x∈Ex \in E; (ii) the mapping (x,y)↦g(x+y)−g(x)−g(y)(x, y) \mapsto g(x + y) - g(x) - g(y) is a bilinear mapping of E×EE \times E into FF. c) Show that if EE is a free kk-module, then the image of λp\lambda_p is the module Polkp(E,F)\mathrm{Pol}_k^p(E, F) of homogeneous polynomial mappings of degree pp of EE into FF.
