Topological Vector Spaces, II, p. 95

Show that, when zz varies in the unit disc ∣z∣≤1|z| \leq 1 in C\mathbf{C}, then the convex cone generated by the points (z,z2,...,zn)(z, z^2, ..., z^n) in the spaces Cn\mathbf{C}^n, is the whole of the space Cn\mathbf{C}^n. (Note that there cannot exist complex numbers ckc_k not all zero (1≤k≤n)(1 \leq k \leq n) such that R(∑k=1nckekiθ)≥0\mathscr{R} \left( \sum_{k=1}^n c_k e^{ki\theta} \right) \geq 0 for 0≤θ≤2π0 \leq \theta \leq 2\pi, using the fact that ∫02πekiθdθ=0\int_0^{2\pi} e^{ki\theta} d\theta = 0 for every integer k≠0k \neq 0.)
