Topological Vector Spaces, IV, p. 51

Let (Eα)α∈A(E_\alpha)_{\alpha \in A} be a family of locally convex Hausdorff spaces, E a vector space and for every α∈A\alpha \in A, let fαf_\alpha be a linear mapping from EαE_\alpha into E. On E consider the finest locally convex topology T\mathscr{T} for which the functions fαf_\alpha are continuous (II, p. 27); suppose T\mathscr{T} is Hausdorff and let Eα′E'_\alpha denote the dual of EαE_\alpha, and E′E' that of E endowed with T\mathscr{T}. Show that if, for every α∈A\alpha \in A, the topology of EαE_\alpha is identical with τ(Eα,Eα′)\tau(E_\alpha, E'_\alpha), then the topology T\mathscr{T} is identical with τ(E,E′)\tau(E, E').
