Topological Vector Spaces, IV, p. 52

Let EE be a complex Hausdorff locally convex space, E0E_0 the underlying real locally convex space to EE, and let E′E' and E0′E'_0 be the duals of EE and E0E_0 respectively. Show that the canonical R\mathbf{R}-linear mapping f↦Rff \mapsto \mathscr{R}f from E′E' onto E0′E'_0 is a homeomorphism for the S\mathfrak{S}-topologies on E′E' and E0′E'_0, where S\mathfrak{S} is an arbitrary set of bounded subsets of EE. From this deduce the definition of the canonical R\mathbf{R}-linear mapping from the bidual E′′E'' onto the bidual E0′′E''_0, which is a homeomorphism for the weak topologies σ(E′′,E′)\sigma(E'', E') and σ(E0′′,E0′)\sigma(E''_0, E'_0), as also for the strong topologies β(E′′,E′)\beta(E'', E') and β(E0′′,E0′)\beta(E''_0, E'_0); by this mapping, EE (considered embedded in E′′E'') transforms into E0E_0 (considered embedded in E0′′E''_0).
