Exercise 6, § 4

Functions of a Real Variable, V, 262

Let (un)(u_n) be a series of reals ≠0\neq 0 such that lim⁡n→∞un=0\lim_{n \to \infty} u_n = 0. Show that if there exists a number rr such that 0<r<10 < r < 1 and if from some point on one has −1⩽un+1/un⩽r-1 \leqslant u_{n+1}/u_n \leqslant r, then the series (un)(u_n) converges.
