Exercise 10, § 1

Integration, III, p. 57

Let Φ\Phi be a filter on the set M+(X)\mathscr{M}_+(X) of positive measures on XX. Show that if Φ\Phi is vaguely convergent then, for every compact subset KK of XX, there exist a set M∈ΦM \in \Phi and a number aK>0a_K > 0 such that ∣μ(f)∣≤aK⋅∥f∥|\mu(f)| \leq a_K \cdot \|f\| for every function f∈H(X,K;C)f \in \mathscr{H}(X, K; \mathbf{C}) and every measure μ∈M\mu \in M.
