Integration, III, p. 61

Let (Xλ)λ∈L(X_\lambda)_{\lambda \in L} be an infinite family of compact spaces; for each λ∈L\lambda \in L, let aλa_\lambda be a point of XλX_\lambda and let μλ\mu_\lambda be a positive measure on XλX_\lambda of total mass 1. For every finite subset JJ of LL, let ν(J)\nu(J) be the measure on X=∏λ∈LXλX = \prod_{\lambda \in L} X_\lambda that is the product of the measures μλ\mu_\lambda for λ∈J\lambda \in J and the measures εaλ\varepsilon_{a_\lambda} for λ∈L−J\lambda \in L - J. Show that, with respect to the directed set of finite subsets of LL, the measure ν(J)\nu(J) tends vaguely to μ=⨂λ∈Lμλ\mu = \bigotimes_{\lambda \in L} \mu_\lambda but does not tend strongly to μ\mu.
