Exercise 12, § 6

Integration, IV, p. 137

Let hh be a numerical function ⩾0\geqslant 0 such that hh and h2h^2 are integrable; let IhI_h be the set of measurable numerical functions ff such that ∣f∣⩽h|f| \leqslant h. Show that the mapping (f,g)↦fg(f, g) \mapsto fg of Ih×IhI_h \times I_h into L1\mathscr{L}^1 is continuous for the topology of convergence in mean (on IhI_h and on L1\mathscr{L}^1).
