Integration, IV, p. 136

Let XX be an infinite discrete space, μ\mu a measure on XX such that the support of μ\mu is equal to XX. a) Show that for 1≤p≤+∞1 \leq p \leq +\infty, the space Lp(μ)\mathscr{L}^p(\mu) is a topological vector space isomorphic to the space Lp(μ0)\mathscr{L}^p(\mu_0), where μ0\mu_0 is the measure on XX defined by the mass +1 at each point of XX. b) Show that if 1≤p<q≤+∞1 \leq p < q \leq +\infty, the topology of convergence in mean of order pp is strictly finer than the topology of convergence in mean of order qq (on Lp\mathscr{L}^p).
